Working with PivotTables

Training Course

This tutor-led course will show you the tools and techniques to effectively work with PivotTables in Microsoft Excel.

We'll start by looking at basic PivotTable features, and then show you how to quickly create PivotTables and PivotCharts from scratch. You'll learn various useful tools that you'll be able to put into practice in your job. We'll end the workshop showing you how to insert user-friendly buttons and create a basic interactive dashboard!

1-to-1 instructor-led training

Remote learning and in-person training

Training can be delivered remotely using Microsoft Teams. We can also provide in-person training sessions at our Aberdeen Training Centre.

Requirements

You'll need a good working knowledge of using Microsoft Excel. To complete the course online you’ll need a Windows PC installed with Microsoft 365 (if you don’t have Microsoft 365 you can download a free trial for 1 month).

Notes

You’ll receive a printed training manual if you attend a face-to-face course. For remote courses we’ll send you a PDF manual.

Duration

The instructor-led training lasts 4 hours - training sessions can be delivered in 1 day or over a period of time, eg 1 hour a week for 4 weeks.

Certification

You’ll have the option to obtain the following certificate: EC-PC Working with PivotTables. To obtain the certificate you’ll need to pass a practical online assessment.

Funding Opportunities

If you live in Scotland you could be eligible to apply for funding to pay for the course with an SDS Individual Training Account (ITA) from Skills Development Scotland.

You can apply for ITA funding if you are 16 or over and you are:

– unemployed and on benefits

– not working and have no income

– employed with an annual income less than £22,000

– self-employed with an annual income less than £22,000

You will not be eligible to apply for ITA funding if you are in education or involved in any other SDS funded programme.
