On this course you'll learn how to become more productive using Microsoft Excel. The course will increase your knowledge of using formulas and inserting functions - eg TODAY, SUM, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, IF etc. We'll also show you how to create drop-down lists, sort data, filter data and setup conditional formatting. We end the course showing you the power of PivotTables to quickly summarise your data.
About the course
The course content has been put together in line with National Standards. The topics covered are relevant to the skills required to use Microsoft Excel in the workplace at intermediate level.
How the course works
You’ll get 12 months’ access to our online learning system. You’ll learn by watching short video lessons covering each of the course topics. You’ll be able to download the files used in each video and then practice what you’ve been shown. Most lessons also have an exercise file that you can download and complete to reinforce what you’ve learned.
Tutor help
You’ll receive e-mail support from an EC-PC Tutor to answer any questions relating to the course lessons and exercises.
Certification
Learners who complete the course will receive the following e-Certificate: EC-PC Microsoft Excel Intermediate User. The certificate may be used as evidence of CPD depending on the requirements of the learner’s profession.
Are there any entry requirements?
Learners should have good existing skills using Microsoft Excel, eg be familiar with the majority of topics covered on our Microsoft Excel Beginners Plus course.
Will I need any software installed on my PC?
Yes, you will need a PC installed with Windows 10 (other versions of Windows may work but unfortunately we cannot support them). In order to complete the practice exercises you’ll need Microsoft Excel installed.
How long will it take to complete the course?
This will depend on your existing skills – the approximate duration is between 5 and 15 hours.
