On this course you'll learn how to work effectively with spreadsheets and use tools to quickly organise, present and visualise data. You'll learn how to use intermediate formulas and functions - eg SUMIF, IF, VLOOKUP etc. We end the course showing you the power of PivotTables to quickly summarise data!
4 Hours of 1-to-1 training
You’ll receive 4 hours of 1-to-1 training from an EC-PC Tutor. During the training sessions we’ll cover core topics from the course, or we can customise the sessions to cover what you need to know!
Flexible training times
Training can be delivered all in 1 day, or over a period of time (eg 1 hour a week for 4 weeks).
Learn online or face-to-face
Training can be delivered remotely using Microsoft Teams, or face-to-face at our Aberdeen Training Centre.

If you attend a face-to-face course you’ll receive a printed training manual. For remote courses we’ll send you a PDF manual.
Online self-paced learning
In addition to the instructor-led training you’ll also get 12 months access to the online self-paced version of the course, containing additional topics! You’ll be able to watch short video lessons, download practice files and get tutor help if required!
Certification
Once you have completed the online course we’ll send you a practical assessment. Pass the assessment and you’ll receive the following e-Certificate: EC-PC Microsoft Excel Intermediate User.
Requirements
You’ll need some existing skills using Microsoft Excel, eg be familiar with the majority of topics covered on our Microsoft Excel Basic User course. To complete the course online you’ll need a Windows PC installed with Microsoft 365.
