A Scottish Government employability programme aimed at helping members of society who face challenging barriers to finding and maintaining employment, reach their true potential.
If you are unemployed and live in Aberdeen, and face barriers to employment then you may be eligible to apply for funding to pay for courses to improve your job prospects.
The following courses are currently approved for funding:
Jobsearch Ad-hoc Course – improve your skills and confidence using a PC to find work.
Microsoft Office Ad-hoc Course – ad-hoc learning to improve your skills using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and/or Microsoft PowerPoint.
EC-PC Office IT Basic User Course – an online course giving you the basic IT skills required to complete core admin tasks in the workplace using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
EC-PC Office IT Intermediate User Course – an online course giving you the intermediate IT skills required to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook proficiently in the workplace.
How to apply?
You’ll need to complete an application form then submit it to Aberdeen City Council.
