EC-PC Office IT Courses

Learn the core IT skills used in the workplace.

EC-PC Office IT is a collection of courses aimed at Jobseekers who need to improve their IT skills and obtain certification to enhance their job prospects. The courses will also be of benefit to learners in employment who require training as part of their learning and development.

The content of each course is being developed in line with Microsoft standards – the majority of the topics covered are part of the Microsoft Office Specialist syllabus for using Excel, Outlook and Word.

The courses will initially be available at the following levels:

  • EC-PC Office IT Basic User (aimed at learners who require
    entry level IT skills to complete core admin tasks in the workplace)

  • EC-PC Office IT Intermediate User (aimed at learners who need to
    demonstrate the ability to use Microsoft Office proficiently in the workplace).


How will the courses be delivered?

Courses will be delivered using a blended learning approach through:

  • online learning

  • recorded tutorial videos

  • live tutor-led training sessions

  • tutor e-mail support.


How will the courses be assessed?

Learners will be assessed by completing online practical assessments – a pass mark of 70% will be required for each assessment. The assessment process will be carried out in line with industry guidelines used by awarding bodies.
