About the Diploma

The EC-PC Office IT Diploma is a new intermediate course aimed at giving learners the skills required to use a PC in the workplace.

The Diploma is aimed at:

  • jobseekers who need to show employers evidence of IT competency
  • employees who wish to improve their IT skills as part of staff training and development
  • self-employed learners who wish to improve their IT skills for the benefit of their business.

The Diploma consists of the following 6 modules:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Using the Internet
  • Using a PC

EC-PC Office IT Diploma

This intermediate course is aimed at users who have good existing skills using Microsoft Office programs. You will have to complete all six modules to obtain the Diploma, you can however do them in any order.

Microsoft Excel Level 3

This intermediate course will improve your skills using Microsoft Excel, and show you how to use the program more effectively and efficiently.

This intermediate course will improve your skills using Microsoft Outlook, and show you how to use the program more effectively and efficiently.

This intermediate course will improve your skills using Microsoft Word, and show you how to use the program more effectively and efficiently.

This intermediate course will improve your skills using Microsoft PowerPoint, and show you how to use the program more effectively and efficiently.

Using a PC Level 3

This intermediate course will improve your skills, and show you how to use a PC more effectively and efficiently.

This intermediate course will improve your skills using the Internet, and show you how to use it more effectively and efficiently.

How is the Diploma delivered?
We can provide tutor-led training courses for each module. Online learning is currently available for the following modules: Microsoft Excel Level 3, Microsoft Word Level 3 and Microsoft Outlook Level 3.

Will I have to pass any assessments?
Yes, you will have to pass an assessment for each of the 6 modules. Learners who obtain a mark of 70% or above will be awarded a pass.

Will I receive any certificates?
Learners will receive an e-certificate for each module they pass. Learners who pass all 6 modules will be awarded the EC-PC Office IT Diploma.

Is it possible to sit the assessments without having to attend the tutor-led training sessions?
Yes, if you are familiar with the majority of the content then we can offer assessments on demand.

How much does the Diploma cost?
The cost will depend on your current skills, and whether you want to learn online or by attending tutor-led training – please contact us for more info and costs.

EC-PC is an approved Jobcentre Plus training provider. If you are currently claiming benefits in the UK then you may be able to apply to Jobcentre Plus for funding to pay for courses.
