Starting a new job?  Need help using Microsoft 365 in your new role?

Our 1-to-1 support can help bring you up to speed and give you confidence to complete work-related tasks!

 

Support sessions can be tailored to cover a variety of ad-hoc topics to boost your skills and help you develop in your new job.

 

During sessions your EC-PC Tutor can help you use any of the following Microsoft 365 applications:

 

  • Excel

  • Outlook

  • PowerPoint

  • SharePoint

  • Teams

  • Word

 

Where do support sessions take place?

Sessions can be delivered in-person at our Aberdeen Training Centre, or online remotely using Microsoft Teams.

 

How long do the sessions last?

We offer a package of 5 hours of 1-to-1 training (1 hour a week for 5 weeks).

 

When do training sessions take place?

Sessions can be booked during normal office hours – you’ll need to check with your employer to see if this is ok. Alternatively, appointments are also available in the evening and on a Saturday morning.

 

Can I use my work files?

Yes, you’ll need to check with your employer to see if this is ok – we are happy to sign a Confidentiality Agreement if required. Alternatively, we can use our training files during sessions.

 

Will you need to speak to my employer to arrange support sessions?

No, we don’t need to if the training sessions will take place outwith your working hours. However, we recommend arranging the sessions with your employer to identify your training requirements and any learning objectives.

 

Will I be able to learn topics between support sessions?

Yes, you’ll be able to login to the following online self-paced courses:

 

 

PS You’ll be able to login for 12 months as part of the package!

 

When can I apply for the funding?

You can apply if you have started a job within the last few months. You can also apply if you are starting a new job soon and you have a written offer of employment.
